Mark has been helping clients for over two decades plan for their financial future.
He has had a long and varied career working within the financial markets. In 1982 Mark worked as the Assistant Account in London with a Lloyds underwriting firm, then returned to Australia to become Assistant Portfolio Manager with a leading Australian insurance company. From 1986 to 1995, he worked as a bond broker with 2 merchant banks and became a financial planner in 1995.
This background has provided Mark with the insight & knowledge to advise his clients in both the good & the bad times. Mark has advised clients through the 1987 share market crash, the late eighties property boom, the bond crash of 1994, the “Asian Meltdown” of 1997, the “Dot.Com boom & bust” in 2001, the share market boom between 2003 & 2007 & the infamous “Global Financial Crisis”.
It’s no wonder that he now describes his job as “managing my client’s money, lifestyles & emotions, but not necessarily in that order”.

We’ve been a client of Mark’s for about 15 years now and are very happy with what we’ve been able to achieve. Engaging a specialist has been well worth it, because we’re getting the best possible advice for our individual circumstances.
I like the yearly reviews, this works for us. Mark takes the time to explains to us what’s been happening and what the next steps should be in order to achieve our financial goals. The explanations provided by Mark are solid, make sense. We trust Mark to help and guide us to make good and sensible decisions.

There are a couple of things that are non-negotiable when choosing a financial planner. Value for money and my advisor cannot be controlled or salaried to any bank or other financial institution.
I simply wouldn’t engage with an advisor who’s got a financial interest in the investments they recommend.
Mark fit the bill on both counts.
Mark is very professional and across the detail. This shows clearly during the annual review, and we do appreciate his thoroughness.
