Self-determination motivates two senior advisers to seek out Fitzpatricks
The allure of self-employment under a client-focused licensee has prompted two separate arrivals of senior financial advisers to the Fitzpatricks Brisbane ranks.
James Hand CFP, said the opportunity to build a self-employed client advisory practice operating within a community of like-minded professionals was key to his decision.
“The Fitzpatricks business offers a privately owned self-employed structure with very high attention to the detailed needs of higher net worth clients and successful families. This in turn attracts the right ‘type’ of adviser with shared values and focus,” said Mr Hand.
“My decision to join Fitzpatricks after some 25 years operating in the wealth advice sector under different business models has shown me the benefits of aligned interest – both with the client and the philosophical ‘client centric’ support of the overarching licensee. Fitzpatricks offers me the best of both these worlds,” he said.
John Rees CFP has joined Fitzpatricks Brisbane office. He brings over 16 years in senior financial advisory and management roles in financial services to his new venture.
“I relish the opportunity to join a client focussed business with an industry leader. I was impressed with the advice centred approach, professionalism and support of management to build a sustainable business knowing that the interest of my clients will always come first.”
“There were a number of factors that lead me to join the Fitzpatricks Group and if I have to narrow it down it to a few, it would be their fee-for-service model, adviser and client support services and working with like-minded advisers,” said Mr Rees.
The latest arrivals further bolster the numbers of high quality professional advisers now operating under the Fitzpatricks Australian Financial Services License (AFSL).
“We are really pleased to be in a position to offer new pathways to advisers of the calibre of James and John,” said Fitzpatricks CEO John Woodley.
“Each has made a separate decision to seek a better operating model for themselves and their clients, so we are delighted to be their destination of choice in that regard.”
